I co-authored this book with barre3 founder Sadie Lincoln, bringing to the project my experience as a fitness editor for Rodale’s magazine Prevention. I worked with Sadie from pitch to publication, shaping the concept, crafting an outline and schedule, and ensuring the final copy had a consistent tone and voice.

Health plan explanation of benefits

This project required simplifying regulatory-approved language to make it suitable for a sixth-grade reading level. The resulting document included more bullet points and bolded text, shorter sentences that used plain language, and color coding to help readers navigate the handbook.

The first draft of this award submission – which earned a Learning & Development Institute’s 2023 Excellence in Learning Award – lacked storytelling, focus, and impactful language. I reshaped the submission to better capture the company’s efforts and outcomes.

I partnered with the taste and consumer insights teams to edit the landing page for this gated campaign as well as the charts/final assets. The project required understanding and addressing the customer pain points and updating the tone and language to establish authority and expertise for the company.

This article was created by merging together two older pieces. One had high SERP ranking; both had outdated information. The new article was edited to include new statistics while retaining the keywords, structure, and url of the more successful article.
